who we are

A tree care company born in the Puget Sound, for the Puget Sound.

The trees here are different because this place is different. Bigleaf maples spread wide, Douglas firs tower over homes, and cedars, hemlocks, and mature evergreens shape entire neighborhoods. Caring for them well takes more than knowing trees. It takes knowing this landscape, this climate, and the way trees grow alongside the homes and communities around them.

About Us

"This is where we live, where we work, and where we’ve learned what good tree care really looks like."

rooted here

Locally owned. Twenty‑five years in.

Blue Ribbon Tree has been locally owned and caring for trees across greater Seattle and the Puget Sound for 25 years. A lot of our work still comes the old-fashioned way: from customers who call us back, neighbors who notice the work, and people who hear our name from someone they trust.

our approach

Tree science meets practical experience.

Good tree care starts with understanding what the tree needs, but it also means understanding the property, the people who live there, and what makes sense in the real world. Our arborists bring technical knowledge and decades of field experience to every recommendation, balancing tree health, safety, appearance, and the long-term goals for your property. We’re not here to recommend more work than you need. We’re here to help you make a good decision and do the work well.

Science‑Based Decisions

Recommendations grounded in arboricultural science, structural assessment, and decades of experience with trees in the Pacific Northwest.

Straightforward Recommendations

If a tree doesn’t need work, we’ll tell you. Our job is to recommend what makes sense for the tree, the property, and the people who live there.

Practical Expertise

Decades of hands-on experience climbing, pruning, rigging, diagnosing, and caring for trees across greater Seattle and the Puget Sound.

Caring for neighborhoods, not just yards.

Some of our clients have been with us for more than 20 years. We’ve watched families grow, landscapes change, and trees we first cared for become part of the character of a home. We approach every property with that long view in mind, doing careful work, respecting the space around us, and leaving things cleaner than we found them.
