Edmonds Tree Rules
many removals on improved single-family lots are exempt, but critical areas, buffers, development sites, and other regulated properties can require review or a permit.
Mukilteo Tree Rules
outside protected areas, removal generally requires a permit for evergreens 8" DBH or larger and deciduous trees 12" DBH or larger.
Critical Areas & Steep Slopes
wetlands, stream buffers, steep slopes, and native growth protection areas can trigger additional review in both cities.
Puget Sound Shoreline
shoreline properties can face additional restrictions; in Mukilteo, removal of trees over 24" diameter within the 200-foot shoreline zone is especially limited.
